It's hard to rate this show, 'cause the band has transversed so much territory between then and now. The band was clearly much more funk-based then, and Barber goes off crazylike at a bunch of points. The Aceetobee, Vassillios, and I-Man are all really good, though, and the Shem-Rah and Boop are both decent...just a much more traditional "jamband" sound than I prefer.
The sound of this is okay. The tape hiss is ignorable, and the flips aren't bad at all (no music missing in the first, and probably only ~30s missing in the second). Apart from those facts (thank goodness now for digital), the sound is actually pretty damn clear.
If you want to hear this band right before they were really turning on the trancefusion, back when it was more of a looping funk style instead of real trance, this show is solid, but not unmissable.
